Berlin's splitting - The Wall
After the formation of the Democratic Federal Republic of Germany in West Germany and the German Democratic Republic in East Germany, both in the year 1949, the Cold War intensified and culminated in the construction of the Berlin Wall on August 13, 1961.The state was divided for 28 years and at that time spectacular attempts to escape took place, which on the one hand were successful, but on the other ended fatally.
